According to a research conducted by the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) undertaken by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) show that young Albanians are a regular reader of materials outside the school.
Albania lies on top of the rankings along with Kazakhstan, Shanghai. And Thailand, where 90% of 15-year-olds read for pleasure. Further ranked countries like Indonesia and Peru with 88% with 86%.
From searching it appears that in developed countries averaged 63% of 15-year-olds read a minimum of 30 minutes per day. The report suggests that students who are active readers of extra material, is likely to be more successful in life.
"On average, students who read regularly every day achieve a score equal to those who have 1.5 years more schooling," the report said.
